I retired from IBM where my last position was Corporate Director, Enterprise Learning. In that capacity, our team designed and introduced career, professional and technical development for IBM’s worldwide employee population. Programs developed under my leadership included new employee orientation, career framework and progression, competence development, mentoring, job rotation, stretch assignments and exploration, skills initiatives and technical development. These programs and initiatives won numerous awards from prestigious organizations such as Association for Talent Development (ATD), Brandon Hall Awards, and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
My career with IBM encompassed extensive worldwide managerial and executive experience in sales, marketing, coaching and service delivery.
My current focus is designing and delivering personal and professional development programs that assist individual and organizations in implementing strategic change management initiatives. We help clients gain the insight and create the success strategies that they need through personal and professional transitions as they approach new or challenging responsibilities. My primary interest is helping others value and leverage their unique gifts and talents.
I received my Master of Arts in Psychology and Counseling, as well as a Masters in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, NY. I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and a Certified Gallup Strength Finder Coach, co-author of two books: Intelligent Mentoring: How IBM Creates Value through People, Knowledge and Relationships and Agile Career Development: Lessons and Approaches from IBM, both of which were published by IBM Press/Pearson plc.
Over the years I’ve served on many community organizations, as well as non-profit, educational and global innovation initiatives. I am an ordained deacon and an aspiring Master Gardener. I live in Raleigh, NC.
